One of my most favorite dramas, OTP, script, OST, characters and everything else of ALL TIME.
I miss them.

Ohhhhh… I love this question!
I would mostly start with the places that i haven’t been to yet namely:
1. Tokyo

Theme parks, theme parks everywhere! Since i’m really a kid at heart, I would love to add Tokyo Disneyland among the list of the Disneylands that i have visited, then perhaps spend a day or two at Legoland and make all my little girl fantasies and dreams come true in Sanrioland.
For shopping, i would love to visit Harajuku where the most fashionable and avant garde youngsters of Tokyo hang out and enjoy people watching, and if it’s Cherry Blossom season, perhaps go a little farther than the city and enjoy a romantic walk holding hands with the male character i’d love to bring there, Baby Faced Beauty’s Choi Jin Wook.
I just have a feeling that i’ll have the most fun visiting this place with him mostly because his mischievous and sweet side seem to fit the young, hip and fun vibe of Japan. I’m pretty sure that he would be a fun companion on those theme park rides, a funny conversationalist while we’re having some downtime eating sushi and i bet i’d have a grand old time cuddling up with him when evening comes around and the air gets nippy.
2. London
The double decker red buses, the British accent, Buckingham Palace, tea and crumpets at the Ritz Carlton, not to mention all the brands i love like Debenhams, Topshop and Selfridge’s (and oh god, don’t even get me started on how i salivate whenever i even so much as hear the name Harrod’s) London is one city i’d love to visit mostly because i love the fact how everything in this city seems so refined and cultured.
This is one city that seems to be way ahead of its time and yet retains that old world charm and tradition, mostly because i think, it still upholds the monarchy and i have always been fascinated by royalty so i just have this feeling that this city would charm the socks off of me.
For London, i would love to bring Boys Over Flowers Yoon Ji Hoo.
His understated, quiet elegance is almost like having my own Prince William by my side and besides i’m pretty sure he would rock all those double breasted trench coats that he wears with such panache that he would look right at home among the genteel Brits that proliferate the streets of this city.
3. Sydney

Mostly for the beaches and the blonde, blue eyed, athletic surfer dudes that frequent those beaches.
However if i will really be given the chance to bring In Time With You’s Li Da Ren to this place, i doubt if i’d even have time for them because i’m pretty sure i would just be mooning over him the whole time.

There’s just a casual, laid back feel to this city that seem to fit Da Ren’s personality.
Primarily, because with him, there is no need to do anything special because he already makes you feel as if you’re the most adored woman in the universe.
I could imagine ourselves just sitting at the edge of Bondi Beach looking at the sunset while having deep, meaningful conversations about love and life and we would spend lazy, sun filled days just casually strolling around the shops while holding hands which we would cap off with a shared beer while staring at each others eyes at one of those pubs that overlook the harbour.
4. The Hague

I’ve heard a lot of good things about The Hague from some of my colleagues who have already been there, the city being the place where my company houses it’s mother ship but personally, i would like to visit the city because it is a study in contrast of being a tranquil, peaceful, idyllic city and yet it is also wild and dangerous at the same time.
For mornings, i would just love to marvel at the architecture of the dutch colonial inspired buildings overlooking the canals or perhaps visit one of those tulip fields while leisurely biking, and in the evening, Han Gil Ro of Grade 7 Civil Servant and i would adventurously explore and immerse ourselves in the unknown of the hustle and bustle of the red light district.

I think he is just the perfect companion to be with on my tour of this city because just like how the city has two sides to it, Gil Ro is also a curious study in terms of personality.
Sweet, innocent, trusting and childlike one moment and then all man the next with his raging libido and hot headed temper.
Having said that and with the activities i mentioned above in mind, i’m sure you can already picture how we’d put our time to good use in the mornings and how after seeing all that sexiness and erotic influence that we curiously explored in the evenings, i am keeping my fingers crossed that that would be enough to bring out his beastly instincts so we can put our evenings to even better use than how we did in the morning.
For numbers 5 - 7, these are that places that i have been to either once or numerous times but which i’d love to visit again and again and again:
5. Los Angeles, California

The city where my mom permanently resides in, of course is it any wonder that i would love to bring Kang Ji Wook of Scent of a Woman here because he’s just the type of guy that one can bring home to momma.

I just feel that he would most definitely bring out the Lee Yeon Jae in me, not with the cancer but with all those shopping trips that we’d have at Beverly Hills, The Grove or The Americana, the theme park visits in Anaheim where i would not look for an ex but dedicate my whole time to just enjoying my time with him and of course in the evening, I would take him to the observatory and hope that there is a firework display somewhere out there so we can share a kiss similar to what he has shared with Yeon Jae at the Han Gang.
Urbane, polished and sophisticated with good looks that can probably earn him a stare or two even with the highly good looking population of a city where would be actors litter the street, There is just something about Kang Ji Wook that makes me think LA and how he would just fit in.
6. Macau

When i visited this city there was just one person who crossed my mind and it was Goo Junpyo of Boys Over Flowers. Now, can you blame me for wanting to visit this city again with this man by my side?

Despite the angst of the breakup that he’s had with Jandi while standing on that Venice inspired bridge inside the hotel that was The Venetian which in the drama was supposedly his, there is still that desire within me to explore this small city with him because it is a city of excess, grandeur and opulence and it just seems to encompass everything that he is.
I can just imagine us going around the city in style like one of those high rollers that proliferate the city. Maybe in a limo, maybe in a helicopter but i sure as hell would enjoy every minute of it not just because i am travelling and seeing the city in style but mostly because beside me stand the richest and most good looking eye candy.
7. Seoul

Oh Seoul, how i love thee!
I may have visited this city several times but i swear i never get tired of it.
No matter how many times i’ve been, it seems like this city always offers me something new whenever i visit.
More than the shopping in Apgujeongdong and Myeongdong, the Kalbi Jims and Samgyetangs that i pig out on, it’s really the romantic vibe of the city that draws me in.
There’s just something about the tree lined streets and quaint stores in Samcheongdong that begs you to explore it with a loved one, the cute interiors and warm vibe that the cafes and shops in Garosugil give which seems perfect for a surprise proposal, i can only think of Han Jin Hyun of My Name of Kim Sam Soon to be with if i were ask to choose among my most favorite male drama leads.

Not only because he lives in the city and i’m sure knows it like the back of his hand that he can show me something new, but mostly because i would love to recreate that romantic kiss that he had with Sam Soon on the steps of Nam San and i’m sure that my life would be complete, i don’t even need the 93 places more that i should visit before i die.
When i was seven, i thought Cookie Monster was the hottest… with his wide grin, sloppy cookie eating skills and rough and gravelly voice… just the thought of not seeing him is enough to drive me into hysterical crying fits whenever my mom would turn off the TV..
At nine… i thought He-man was the coolest… Oh how i wanted to be She-Ra so that we can defend the universe and Greyskull together…
At eleven… Richard’s cries of ERIKAAAAAAAA pierced my heart whenever Daimos is on TV…
And then i grew up…
As i grow older, i realized that there is more to being a heartthrob than being blue and hairy or buff and athletic or someone who drives a robot very suavely, double missiles shooting from his nipples be damned…
I think whoever coined the word heartthrob is a sheer genius… Heart and Throb… someone who makes your heart go pumpity-pump whenever they’re around…In fact, they make your heart beat so fast that some people even misspell this as hearthrob leaving the other T out along the way…
They say attraction is a matter of taste… what maybe hot or heartthrob material for me may not be the same for all… We notice someone at first because we find them attractive… but then time goes on and you learn more about them which makes them more physically appealing and therefore, keeps you attracted…
In honor and in the spirit of the request of one anon follower, i’m posting the list of my top ten hotties…
The men (whom i loved since they were boys) who had and has the power to turn me into mush from then till now… they drive me crazy, steer me into mad fan girling and they can send me into spazzing…
So feast your eyes ladies… My all time top 10 hotties who make my heart throb faster and they are ranked accordingly…
10. Joe Cheng
Age: 30
I’ve always been a sucker for guys with perfect, straight teeth that’s why Joe was not someone who attracted me right away… There was even a time when i thought he was so effeminate that I somehow felt it was already bordering on gayness but that was until i saw him take on the role of Zhi Shu in It Started with a Kiss…
That sexy smirk on his face, that coldness, that condescending gaze… He couldn’t be more manly… as i watched him in this series i only wanted to do either one of two things… get him madder so that i can marvel at the appeal he emanates when he’s quiet or hug him tightly to thaw that cold personality and warm him…
I agree that he was way sexier and better looking on It Started with a kiss… but the way he eats up Ariel Lin in each of their love scene and kissing scene on They Kiss Again still has the power to send my blood pressure shooting…
09. Daniel Henney
AGE: 33
Oh how to describe a Greek god turned mortal like Daniel Henney… One of the reasons why my name is Kim Sam Soon would remain in my heart as one of my most favorite Kseries no matter what…
The moment that i saw him in the airport scene on episode 5 wearing that white tshirt and those shades still covering his gorgeous eyes, i know i was on to something… and i was not alone… i can understand the fascination… the hoopla that came with his entrance into the K-entertainment industry…Who wouldn’t fall for such hunky gorgeousness… he seemed more like an art form come to life than human…
With his perfectly chiseled nose, defined jawline, good fashion sense and hot, hot body… Daniel is sure to catch any females eyes not just in Korea but all over the world…
Oh and did i mention that playing Phillip in Spring Waltz made me say “Goddamit, you’re a beauty queen, Eun Young!” not out of admiration but maybe out of envy…
8. Jerry Yan
AGE: 36
The one who started it all… the guy who got me hooked with Asian Dramas… When Meteor Garden first came to Philippine shores i really could not understand what the fuss and the hype was all about… not until i saw Jerry Yan looking at Barbie Xu’s home baked cookies as if it’s the most precious thing in the world…
He brought to life the guy that every girls fantasy is made of… Rough and tough yet soft inside… multi billionaire… funny and witty… someone who would nurture you, treasure you, care for you, fight for you and put you on a pedestal as if you’re something fragile.. Jerry Yan played Dao Ming Sz to perfection…
And he is perfect! Just flashing those deep dimples is enough to send me into a frenzy… Leather pants on a guy? Yucky to all but not Jerry… Pineapple haircut? Guys would look stupid with that but not Jerry… Dance moves ala Saturday Night Live? How Cheesy… but not Jerry!
The guy who can do no wrong in my book, the guy who’s gorgeous in 360 degrees without any angles… My hottie who can carry off sleeveless shirts, the weirdest haircuts and skinny pants as if it’s the latest fashion trend in New York’s Fashion Week…
Mr. Perfect himself, Jerry Yan… my Dao Ming Sz is on number 8…
7. Kim Ji Hoon
AGE: 31

This guy is sexiness all wrapped up in one delicious, scrumptious package.
If he were a dish i’d probably lap up every morsel.
Woe to those who’ve only discovered his hotness in Flower Boy Next Door because seriously guys, even if he first made my heart flutter in Flowers For My Life he successfully made my panties drop in Love, Marriage.
He just had this gentlemanly way of rocking all those suits and there was something so tempting about his heavily pomaded, slicked back hair that when i saw him in a towel rocking those six packs in one of the scenes, i went sorta delirious with lust for awhile.
No matter how cold Ji Hoon is made up to appear in his roles for his previous dramas there is always a warm side to his portrayal that makes me want to be the mother to all of our 16 imaginary children (Yes, i’m talking about you Wish Upon A Star).
But even without that and if all else fails, at least i’d still have the six pack.
Always, there is always the six pack.
6. Lee Minho
AGE: 25

When Lee Minho first appeared on the scene, he took the whole kdrama world by storm and the entire kdrama female watching population off their feet and i was not immune to it.
If a man can rock ajumma permed hair and still look THAT hot, then by all that is holy, give credit where credit is due, HE IS FUCKING HOT.
However, more than the fact that he makes for some tasty eye candy, Lee Minho has proven not one time too many that he is more than just a pretty face to look at because he not only has gorgeous everything, he also has outstanding talent.
Still, let’s admit it, it was really his drop dead gorgeous good looks that brought him the fame and also the fangirls.
And how could he not?
When every single thing he does looks like a goddamn photoshoot or a centerfold for GQ because he not only emanates charisma, the fact that he is really such a perfectly made man is undeniable.
5. Yamashita Tomohisa
AGE: 27
And just like his namesake.. i found him … my japanese treasure YamaPi…
From the moment i saw him on Proposal Daisakusen i was immediately drawn to his boyish charms… i empathize with his character of a bumbling, cowardly best friend who can’t be true to his real feelings but who got a second chance to redeem himself only to get hurt over and over again…
I was not always someone who get attracted to men who look like boys but Pi-chan was my initial taste of how boys can also be exciting…Sure, i’ve had crushes on others far younger than him but with Pi-pi… it was love!
He turned my world topsy turvy… just the pursing of his lips is enough to get me excited…the place that was heretofore occupied by Binnie for the longest time became his for awhile hence causing guilty feelings when i rave about him but i can’t lie… my heart really says that i love him and i must shout it out!
So once again here i am shouting out for the world to know that “Yes Pi-chan! You’re on my list and i love you!”
4. Piolo Pascual
AGE: 36
” I LOVE YOU PIOLOOOOOOOOOO!!!” and that’s not a borrowed line from his old commercial because really i do… from the bottom of my heart…
The only Filipino actor who has the power to make me go wild when i see him on TV… to curse and spew expletives because i’ve ran out of words to describe how freakin’ gorgeous he is… I can just stare at him and drown myself into those deep, soulful eyes for the rest of my life…
With unparalelled talent and armed with genuine kindness… Who would not want to be Mrs. Piolo Pascual?
My crush who i’m sharing with 2million other Filipinas all over the world (maybe foreigners too)… it is an injustice to have Piolo alone…
His composure under pressure despite the rumors of his sexual preference continuously hounding him… his grace when enemies attack… his humility when people praise him… these are all the things that make me love him more aside from the fact that just seeing him is really short of seeing an apparition in the flesh…
The Philippines answer to Brad Pitt… leading man material… pin up boy… trusted endorser… Adonis personified… that’s Piolo…
3. Bolin Chen
AGE: 29

If i could only drown on those dimples i would.
A very recent find but i can say that he is an all time favorite among the list of my T-drama actors because he toppled my ever favorite Taiwanese gege Joe Cheng off my number 1 spot when he played the ever so perfect, flawless guy you’d want to bring home to momma Li Da Ren in IN TIME WITH YOU.
There’s just something about BOLIN that’s so soulful.
There’s something about the way he stares that seem to pierce way deep down into the recesses of your soul that it can only be described as “come hither”.
He’s dark and broody and mysterious but when he smiles, it lights up his whole face that it leaves me breathless.
It’s that exercise in contrast that made me fall head over heels for him.
This man plays the lovesick, long suffering boy with an unrequited love to perfection and maybe for that reason, i fell for him hook, line and sinker.
2. Hyun Bin
AGE: 30
My Hyunnie Bunny… Honey Binnie… I’m at a loss for words to describe his perfection…
One thing that i can say is that there was a time when my love for him was almost bordering on obsession… I can spend hours just looking at his pictures… i can write poetry and set music to song just by listening to his voice… he makes everyone and anyone pale in comparison…
He embodied Jin Hyun in Kim Sam Soon… A little immature, a little spoilt and yet willing to bow down and kneel for forgiveness should the situation call for it… The hand grabbing… the arm pulling… no one else can perfect those actions other than Hyun Bin!
Hot even when he’s not trying to be… he simply oozes sex appeal from every pore and emanates sexiness from the screen… he has the perfect smile and he possesses great kissing skills that whenever he smooches Sam Soon… i am puckering my lips in anticipation wishing it was me instead at the receiving end…
He has more pictures in my computer than all of my family and friends combined… my first love… my one true love … when all else fails and everything fades… i know i will always return to him…
1. Kim Hyun Joong
AGE: 26

And surprise, surprise….who else should be at the top of my list but my boy wonder, my pretty boy, my boylet Kim Hyun Joong…
With Joongie, there was no such thing as rising up from the ranks from the bottom of my list… the moment i saw him that was it… i was his… he had me…I have to give him the number one spot since he truly swept me off my feet…
The more i get to know him… the more i get drawn to him… the more i find reasons to love him… he must have been awake when God was giving out everything good… good looks, talent, sense of humor … name it… boylet’s got it… Unlike other idols of his caliber, he does not let fame get to his head… he remains as down to earth as he was before he debuted… his feet planted firmly on the ground… unpretentious… who else would announce that they have diarrhea and admit that they watch porn on National TV? Only Joongie among all idols is brave enough to do that… to be honest and true to who and what he is despite the image that he must project…
He has the power to make me laugh like crazy, to go into a frantic screaming fest whenever he does something sexy (like singing Creep)… to die over and over again because my heart can only take so much… (and his gorgeous face sometimes is simply too much for a mere mortal like me to take)…
Like a giddy schoolgirl on the throes of her first crush… Joongie makes me long for him time and time again… for his boyish good looks, for his witty dialogues, for his grinding and bumping … He has the power to touch my heart, to warm my cold nights with his voice, to lift me up from depression just by watching him being silly…
Sometimes i feel as if i would just pass out from spazzing over him too much but even if it’s come to that i am exhilarated to have loved him… to have fangirled over him and to have adored him and even if it’s been quite some time… the feeling doesn’t get old…
Honestly, I wish this feeling would never end…

Seriously, this meme is contradictory.
How can i keep calm when i’m dating this guy, albeit mentally?
I tell you I’m currently having an anapoleptic seizure even if i am just thinking about it now.
(Source: itsthesweetestaddiction)

Everything that was episode 13 most definitely but i have one every episode because that’s just how great this show is.
To name it one by one:
Episode 1: Maggie turning around flirtatiously on episode 1 but it Da Ren was imagining that she was You Qing.

Episode 2: The way that the bond and closeness of You Qing and Da Ren was depicted with the simplicity and starkness of them doing everyday chores together like her shopping for sanitary pads with him in tow and pooping while talking to him from the other side of the bathroom door without any discomfort or hesitation.

And do i even have to mention THIS SCENE accompanied by THIS DIALOGUE?

Do you know I spent a lifetime to learn one thing. Possession is the beginning of losing it. But at the end I still couldn’t learn, I can’t accept having youth, is actually the beginning of losing youth. Having a marriage is actually the beginning of losing the marriage. Having reputation, it can also be lost. Having wealth is also the same. Heath is also the same. Even raising a dog is the same. Possession of love …losing a loved one is harder to accept. Why is it that everything I pursue in life, I start losing it, as soon as I gain possession of it. If I don’t have it, then I won’t have anything to lose.
Now do you know the reason I don’t love you?
Because possession is the beginning of losing.
Those words.
UGH.
This scene made me cry so much because as early as episode 2 the writer was already able to establish how deep Da Ren’s love was for You Qing in unconditional ways that is far more deeper than one can ever imagine.
Episode 3 - Da Ren leaving his girlfriend behind right away and travelling all the way to Tai Chung from Taipei when You Qing was distressed about Nick just to be by her side.

Episode 4 - They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so… THIS.

The way they laughed together and looked at each other during this scene?
That cut me to the core man.
‘Nuff said.
Episode 5 - I’d let the dialogue do the talking.

“Cheng You Qing I finally came to a common ground with Ding Li Wei… You are a book worth reading over and over again”.
Episode 6 - Da Ren breaking up with Maggie and telling her flat out that he can’t love her because he’s always been in love with You Qing.

This scene too because it is one of those rare times where You Qing lets her emotions take over and the way she looked at Da Ren made butterflies appear in my stomach.

EPISODE 7 - The drama ups the angst factor moving forward as You Qing falls back into a relationship with Li Wei but there is a ray of sunshine in this episode when You Qing takes care of a sick Da Ren.

EPISODE 8 - How many men would be your beacon of strength when you are tired and give you motivation to go on when you feel as if you can’t anymore without asking anything in return? This is the time that i was already crazy in love with Da Ren. Is it any wonder that i wish for a man who’d also remove my make up for me when i’m too tired to move?

EPISODE 9 - The OTP having a raging tiff that scared me for awhile that it might be the end of everything and yet it hurts so good when it is shown how much they pine for each other.

I also loved the flashback that was shown of how Da Ren was o head over heels for You Qing and how he followed her even to university and i love seeing the whole history of how their friendship began.

EPISODE 10 - Da Ren’s send off party where their friends forced them to say they love each other and how the whole thing started with them in a cold war but it still ended with them flirting with each other without even being aware of it.

This was a very sad episode since we have Li Wei’s proposal, Da Ren’s departure and yet each and every single thing that happens feels like a punch to the gut and the hurt hurts so good that i just cannot never get enough.
EPISODE 11 - The hurt and pain in Da Ren’s eyes when You Qing accepted Li Wei’s proposal. The pain was so palpable, i was breathless with the extent of it.

EPISODE 12 - You Qing’s bachelorette party and her listening to Da Ren’s song and finally realizing that he’s the man for her while on the other hand, Da Ren waits for her in the rain conceding defeat and finally getting the courage to tell her in a letter how much he loves her. TEARS. ENDLESS TEARS. RIVERS OF ‘EM. Yes, that’s what i cried here.

EPISODE 13 - Like helloooooo? The entire episode and the numerous kisses and sweetness crammed in an hour and a half of goodness but still nothing beats the first one and the cuteness that followed of how they are now lovers but still the best of friends.

Looking back on it, every episode of this drama was a gem.
There was nothing that you’d throw away and every scene has a purpose that would make you think, reflect and remember how love can be the greatest thing of all but also the hardest.
The dialogues and directing were some of the best that i’ve ever seen in my entire drama watching life and for that in my heart, IN TIME WITH YOU will always be a favorite and a top contender.

Answer me 1997 and In Time With You hands down.
The relationships are so real and relatable from the parents to the siblings to the friendship down to the very last OTP in the whole drama.
There are a lot of circumstances and incidents in the whole series that might have happened to me at one time or to a friend or to someone i know and the conflicts are not too far fetched that i sometimes wonder if i know the writers of these dramas.
A sentiment that does not seem to be exclusive to me but also shared by the majority of those who are also in love with both of these series.
The scenes are not hysterically dramatic nor over the top, the lines are simple and everyday and yet it cuts you deep down to the core probably because it hits too close to home that your emotions and attachment to the characters are magnified a thousand fold.
Watching them both feels like a stroll down memory lane.
It makes me relive moments in my life where i have acted or could have acted the way the character does and where i wish i could have also done the same.
