During an interview last year with Kim Sun Ah on Taxi around November , Kim Sun Ah said that Binnie and her are still in touch up to the time that he entered Military Service.

More than that, she said that they drink alone together and hang out with just the two of them on occassions when they don’t have work and call each other.

BLAZING AT NUMBER 1: MY NAME IS KIM SAM SOON

At a time when Kdramas are notorious for ripping off viewers in line with the kiss department, My Name is Kim Sam Soon is a pioneer in giving the audience their money’s worth in terms of depicting real life passion…

Aside from the fact that it’s Hyun Bin doing the kissing, It’s the situations that go along with the kisses which i think make this drama’s smackeroos truly stand out from that of the rest that i can’t just choose one as they are all equally smashing.

Long live Womens Lib in that scene in episode 6 when Sun Ah went in for the kill.

That scene truly defied the norm that men should always be the one to make the first move when it comes to getting physical because Samsoon has proven that there is no rule in Kdrama land that says that only men can initiate a kiss.

The surprise on Jin Hyun’s face when Sam Soon went for his lips is truly hilarious and yet awe inspiring.

And that popping sound that their lips made when they parted?

It made me blush and grin like a silly fool from where i was seated as i alternate between fangirling, childish giggling and epileptic spazzing.

But when Sam Shik pulled Sam Soon in to his embrace when she was about to go… that moment signified when the situation changed and Sam Shik became the one truly in control (well, until the NG’s were shown… hehehe!)

But wait there’s more!

Binnie surpassed himself on Episode 12 when he dragged an unsuspecting and obviously PO’d SamSoon into the mens bathroom not to give her a beating but to give her the kissing of her life!

The agressiveness in which he pulled Sam Soon to him then planted his lips on hers which rendered her quiet, his hands caressing the side of her breasts while he made a veritable feast of her lips… I HAVE NEVER WANTED BINNIE MORE THAN IN THAT MOMENT!

And just when you thought the fun was over, the director and writer added in that moviehouse make out scene for good measure. It was supposed to be funny yes… but all i found was myself green with envy and wanting to be in Sun Ah’s place right then and there.

Like a pair of High School kids who can barely contain their passion, Sam Shik and Samsoon had never been more relatable and real than in that very moment…

No wonder from then till now, My name is Kim Sam Soon would always be the best for me in terms of kissing scenes.

And Binnie and Sun Ah?

They are the pairing who changed the landscape of Kdrama as the OTP with the most amorous encounters that even if there are hotter kisses in newer dramas nowadays, the ones they shared would forever remain timeless and if only for that, they truly deserve first place.
